BrixFest 2014 is coming this May - the dates for your diary are Saturday 24th to Wednesday 28th May 2014.

Enjoy some familiar events from the past, including the Heritage Sailing Trawler Rally and the Sunday evening blessing of the fishing fleet and Saturday night Fireworks. On Monday it’s children’s day with tons of interesting stuff for the little (and not so little) ones. Below are some of the highlights to look out for.

Saturday

Heritage Sailing Trawler Sail
See the vessels in all their glory before the event at the town pontoon, then watch the sail around the bay.

Food Stalls & Cooking Demonstrations
Enjoy local foods, a barista coffee competition and cooking fun from local chefs. Don't miss Ready Steady Cook at 1:30pm

Live Music
Great local bands play during Saturday evening.

Fireworks
The traditional Saturday night firework display from the inner harbour quay. We’ll be collecting donations so please be generous – there are no charges to attend!

Sunday

Street Party - Circus Theme
Dress up in circus theme and be entertained by local musical acts and performers. Tables & chairs line Fore Street - choose food and drink specials from local retailers.

Torbay Water Activity Show
Look at all the wonderful boats and watercraft on the visitors pontoon and visit the nautical stands near the marina.

Monday

Imagination Tent
A ‘yurt’ style tent when Melody the Mermaid will be enthralling you with tales from the sea.

Rainbow Fish
Art & Craft activity – let your imagination run wild in designing a brightly coloured fish to go on a stick.

Wally the Whale
Following on from last years popular event to build a sea serpent, this year we will be building a giant whale. Every one can join in and help decorate the beastie.
